The one that I used did too, but the break created a sort of plug and socket effect that reglued very strongly, so no issue.

Got mine today, so time to try and finish off the stuff from the first nickstarter and get some terrain done.

I've just done a test on the hand axe. It seems to clip off okay here.

If there is a fault, I'll contact Renedra to see what they can do for the second production run.

Can someone post a picture of a broken axe, so I can see where the fault is.

No need ... sounds like it's on the way ... I was just worrying I had messed up my order in some way.

I read the line ... "casters drop their ladles" as 'casters drop their ladies' ... and thought to myself what the hell kind of outfit are you running there. :D

ha! I read it the same, too. :)

Mine just arrived, all present and correct and very lovely  :-*

I was one of the card deck people. Nick had informed us of the delay and the reason so wasn't
worried. These things happen to all of us in the real world from time to time in our own jobs
so must be expected in the minis world too.

Just glad to be supporting nicks efforts in this and loving the free toys

Regards

I was one of the card deck people but mine hasn't arrived yet - my post is terrible though when the normal postie is on holiday, so I fully expect to wait a few more days!

Has anyone else head problems with the axe hand on the Cultist sprue?

I've had all 4 snap  on the handle without any give and heard the same from a few people now.

I had the same issue with the axe and also with the spear. Fortunately, it was easy to glue the broken pieces together.

Otherwise, the cultist are absolutly great set. The detail seems better than the Soldiers set and they bring many great conversion opportunities. Well done Nothstar :)

Those who got it were all directly from Northstar I believe, with a few in the UK having gotten their order through other suppliers now. There is bound to be some delay if it is first shipped to another company and then through to you - perhaps more so since shipments may have been sent out only when the cards where available?

My order is coming through Germany (Miniaturicum - needed to add a bunch of Reaper critters to fill out the bestiary!), no shipment confirmation yet but I assume it'll be send out later this week.

I still have a couple of Soldier bodies left unassembled just so I could convert them with some different weapons.

So far I've only clipped one axe off the sprue and it broke. But I glued it back together straight away so no pictures available.

@nick re the broken axes,

Th first one I clipped off broke in two as people have said, after that I held the piece between 2 fingers whilst clipping it and that seemed to stop it happening.
Below is a picture of the broken axe and a picture of it glued back together.
As you can see in the first photo, it breaks in a 'ball and socket' kind of way
and re-glues very well, presuming you can find it if ( like mine did) half of it pings across the room.

Thanks Jim

I think that's something Renedra can address in the second production run.

For reference, that's exactly what happened with mine. Broke in exactly the same way and same place.
