My SA 2nd edition stuff.
« on: September 28, 2015, 04:09:07 PM »
Been eagerly anticipating the new rules for most of the year and when I bought the PDF Friday, I was not disappointed!!! Can't wait to crank out a new campaign, this time I will play the Lurkers and my mate Matt will play Threshold. These are the miniatures I've painted so far and intend to use for it, some of them play double duty in my weird west project Tales from the Twilight Trail (link here http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=82110.0).

The most important thing in the hobby is that you're having FUN! Doesn't matter if you win or lose.

I have finally gotten time to paint up some new Lurkers for the upcoming premier of the 2nd edition rules. They are all Reaper Bones and painted up really quickly and nicely. Did my usual block paint and Armypainter Quickshade afterwards. Was a bit worried that the bigger models (Flesh Golem and Faceless Horror) would take me ages, but they were both done individually in less than 1 hour, mostly due to the large areas of only needing a single colour and not so much 'fiddly' bits.

The eyes on the Flesh Golem, which can't be seen due to the shadow are actually green and I think the Faceless Horror model came really nicely together, due to the two parts so could easily reach the skeleton inside  lol.

Great collection!  I'm jealous because I never figured out I could separate the two parts of the formless thing and tackled it as one piece.  I need to get on my own shoggoth now that I've had a look at yours.  These bones models are a steal; So reasonably priced but still quite well detailed.  I really like your cultists.  It has me thinking about my own shadow organization to oppose my poor agents.  I really need to sort out a theme and an appropriate colour scheme.

Cheers mate!!!

I wholeheartedly agree, they are a steal and unless you paint them professionally they are certainly good for anyone to play with!

Purple seems like a popular colour scheme for cultists, but mine are actually painted in yellow and Vallejo German Green, yes I think they turned out nicely.
