I think it is actually a little browner than it looks in the photo. A friend of mine messes about with it sometimes, but I can't remember the brand name.

Oh, that's bad. So very, very bad.

Go and stand in the corner and think about what you did, young man.

I put up the buttons to 'add to cart' all the new items for pre-orders etc. so you can erm, pre-order them. Pictures will be up Thursday-ish.

Just saw the photos of the new canoes.  They look excellent.  Already thinking of a little vignette.  Means lots of trees, though.  ::)  The new Seminoles are nice, too, although I don't know a lot about their history.  Hadn't seen the Comanches, before, either.  Those I really want!

Christmas means throwing out old artificial wreaths.
Artificial wreathes are EXCELLENT sources of many cheap model pine trees.

Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking of pines.  I've got a vision of lots of birches!

TerraGenesis has an interesting guide for making birch trees.

http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/infopages/page425.html

For some reason I have a hard time associating birches with America. I guess I need to get over that, huh?

No you weren't you were thinking of birches.  ;)

If you can hang on until after Christmas, maybe you can find lots of Lemax birches cheap?

I should think so! Where do you think the name 'birch-bark canoes' comes from?

(Weird! I posted the same response about 6 hours ago but it seems to have gone direct to Limbo! Not the first time it's happened, either!  ???  )

Ebayer "everydaygoodz" always has some very reasonable trees for sale also. I picked up a box of 60 5-6" trees from him for about $30 US and that included the shipping from Hong Kong!
