Arthurian Interlude! Hengist!

Hi,

For your delectation, here's a few pics of the Hengist model that I've been working on whilst beavering away at the Hastings Demo mini's. The aim is to slowly build up a warband for use with the Dark Ages version of Lion Rampant and the Too Fat Lardies fine set of rules, Dux Britanniarum.

I bought a bunch of what I considered to be Autumnal 'tufts' from Great Escape Games at Partizan for my Hastings Demo game next year and just added a few bits to the base. It gives a really great Early Medieval/'Dark Ages' feel (at least that's what I think ).

I would imagine that the tufts used would be available from the Great Escape Games website bit I haven't checked(?)

Vallejo Game Colour- Tinny tin, dark wash, Hammered Copper, dark wash, Brassy Brass, dark wash, Bright Bronze, medium wash, then a highlight each of Glorious Gold and Polished Gold- after all that effort I'm glad that it turned out OK

It felt quicker then one would think as I painted up this chap when I was batch painting a bunch of Huscarls. It's my attempt at not getting bored. Horsa is now on the table with another batch of Huscarls
