What goes up..must come down..sometimes unexpectedly!
« on: October 02, 2015, 11:43:16 PM »
Hey guys
Its been awhile....
Anyway here`s the layout of a scenario my mate n i are soon to play.

Sitrep.
A US chopper has picked up a press photographer & his `3 para` escort but en route to their destination, it developed an electrical failure & so the pilot was forced to land abruptly.
A mayday call was sent & help is being mobilised.

Scenario.
The 4 man squad of paras (2 sa80s, 1 gpmg, 1 ugl & 1 ar15 sharpshooter) must look after the press guy as well as defend the chopper. They are ably assisted by the pilot & co pilot (pistol & ar15 carbine).
Help is on the way but will take 7 turns to arrive. The chopper is damaged but servicable if it can be kept from further damage.
The chopper was spotted by local insurgents who are trying to organise an attack & gain a vital scalp in destroying/capturing the chopper & doing the same to its crew.
There are 3 groups available. A group of 6, with ak`s & a pkm. A group of 3 new recruits, all with ak`s & a final group of 3 vets, rpg, rpd, ak & suicide vest.
They will enter at a rolled random edge (numbered in the pic below) & it will be rolled to see who arrives first. Each group arrives one turn apart.

Pics below..AAR to follow.

Should be interesting
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Indeed. Looking good and very nice terrain. If you don't mind me saying umpire. Unfortunately only one photo of a miniature albeit a rather nice one. ;-)

The Paras & aircrew took up positions around the downed copter. The reporter took shelter behind it.

The regular bad guys, led by the local boss arrived first, taking up positions amongst the trees.
The boss man frantically trying to co-ordinate via his old Nokia, the arrival of the other 2 groups, as his men shortly came under accurate fire & he runs towards cover in the rocks.

After successfully spotting & PID the bad guys moving in, the ugl guy causes the first casualty on them, but its only a light wound.
The squad leader follows suit, also hitting his target but again only causing a light wound! (My mates die rolling was BAD!)

The 2 wounded bad guys both pass their morale & acquire the ugl guy by the nose of the copter..shots fired result in him being hit twice, penetrating his armour & causing him to slump to the floor unconscious! (I on the other hand rolled like a demon!)
Suddenly the Brits heard the shout "Man down!" & knew they had to rescue their guy from further fire & try n stabilise his condition...
More gunfire is exchanged & this time a bad guy is killed outright by the sharpshooter.
