Cultists

I may be wrong but I don't think UMW or anyone else has shown the backs of the cultists, which is a shame

They have some nice detail with pouches, knives, pistols, and even dynamite sticks

Let the un-shaming begin!

Your cultists look good in blue.  Nice choice to make the hood harmonious with the robes.  I agree that the cultists are a good looking sculpt all the way around.  I wish I had got in early enough to score the additional cultists with scoped rifle, tommy gun and the sledge;  Maybe not as they would probably snipe, perforate and pulp my poor agents :) .  When I finish my new post apocalypse piece I'd like to paint up my cultists too.  Someone started a cultist thread on the forum so I might post them there rather than on my CORD thread because I'm not sure how they feel about double posts.  I think I'll run off with your idea and do a group shot there and keep the singles on my thread.

thx again horridperson :)

I think double posts are OK to support someone else's thread but also maintaining continuity for your own...2 cents and all

:)

So that's it for now

Painted the following sets from Kickstarter:

- Cult Booster

- Threshold Booster

- Conqueror Worm Booster

- Innsmouth Box

- Graveyard Box

- Summoning Box

Looking forward to UMW upcoming releases, including possibly single figures or subsets of the KS boxes

Hopefully some of you will pick up one or more of the boosters and/or boxes when released

Next up from me: more terrain...

Thx all for the looks and especially the comments...appreciated

Questions & comments welcome as always

Hope everyone paints their stuff and shares!

:)

I agree, the colour selection on the cultists works well.  I really like how you did the rope details.  Can you share your recipe?

Glad you enjoyed the hypothesis.  I figure this way you have choices ranging from a common "On The Road with Bing and Bob..." plot line, to "down a rabbit hole to the other side of the looking glass".  You cannot be too paranoid, innocense proves nothing.

You have definitely motivated me to dust off my paint brushes.

thx rcktscientist & obsidian3d 😊

rope belts are pretty straightforward

paint bone/cream color

if u make a mistake it's easier to clean up the robe's basecoat than to kill yourself trying to be perfect on the belt

couple light washes with brown wash

u can stop there or try a very very light dry brush with same bone/cream or even straight white...that's it...

Nice work! I agree the two tone blue works nicely!

Also, an ink wash also helps cover up sloppy paint work as well....then as you said touch up a little with the robe base color and done.

It is seriously impressive just how quickly you have got through this lot.

Now you only have to worry about getting some serious gaming in.

Wow! This is some effort! Will get around to reading through it all in a bit. Great job on the Undead Box.  8)

does the free points allotment for gear work in the way described above, as an "EP credit"?  i guess i read it as "can have x cost item for free, but has to buy anything nicer at full cost."  note that i am also terrible at math, so if it all works out the same way, ignore me.  :)

super cool idea on the "pre-loaded" lurker lists though.  thanks a ton for your effort and sharing!  keeping my eyes on the mailbox for my solo and twisted fate decks, will tear into your module as soon as they arrive!

That's a great product! I often thought that every box could have been a mini campaign in its own right-
