Great thread.

Probe Droids

Imperial probe droids, the rather frightening protagonists in the ouverture of Episode V "The Empire strikes back"...

I made two different bases to mark the models either regular or elite. The jungle bases stand for regular combat abilities. All regular models (except Star Destroyer/Death Star staff) will be based that way. This is how the bases blend in with the terrain tiles of the board game.

Elite models will have wasteland bases that blend in with the Tattooine terrain tiles.

I love the reflection on the eyes.  Bases are nice too.  They actually look like they were cast that way.

The different bases is a great idea!

SW IA was really tempting me to go for transparent bases, but in the end I stuck to the classic textured bases...

BTW - Your minis also seem to suffer from the warped plastic bases, I had good results with the usual hot (nearly boiling) water, cold water technique.

Thanks Agis, if you mean the lifted edges - they are due to the thickness of a coin that is glued under the base to provide a bit of weight to the light plastic miniatures.

Nice work on the sensor array, thats a nice touch Michi. Putting a washer underneath to add stability is a smart move. Ive been cutting the bendy plastics (WotC) off their bases and mounting to washers too.

More SW figures in the pipeline as the movie draws near mate?

Cheers

Great job on the scout troopers.  I really like the light grey/white blend.

This is a really nice sculpt of the chicken walker.  A little squatter and more compact.  Great paint work too.

Love the AT-ST. Really clean paint job, with plenty of visual interest. The Scout Troopers with E-Webs are lovely too.
