That is great news!  I have always liked the look of medieval Russia, but I have not been as keen on the current metal figures available...

That is awesome. The Mongol invasion of Russia is one of my favourite periods to game!

Thanks for posting!

Why are the hands not gripping the spears, like the other weapons?

Those look great.i can see lots of uses for them in both historical and fantasy settings. I don't need them but then again that's not stopped me before

lol I thought exactly the same thing...

Doesn't sound like a luxurious array of arms/weapon choices? Only one arm holding a sword?

Some of the helmets look rather good though. Feel sure I'll get a box...

Can we have a forgegoal of hands moulded to the weapons, rather than ye olde lego mittens?

Sculpting looks okay (good thing there's less of the crab scuttle poses), but there's some weird lighting or contrast or something in these B&W pics that's making some of the detail hard to focus on, IMO.

Great to see, as that is the one thing I've disliked about Fireforge figures so far (well, the GW-sized weapons are a bit too much sometimes too).  lol

My guess is that they have to make the spearshaft a certain thickness for durability sake, and to have the hands grip it entirely would require massive ham-hands?

Nice to see the preorder up and running... but the page seems a bit unpolished to me.  Also, the 2.5 month time for the preorder to finish leaves me little incentive to pay now... I might as well check back in December and sign up then.  I am looking forward to the figures, though!

Someone on the previous page stated they were doing plastic Byzantines...or was that another manufacturer?

Huh, these certainly look like a fun set to build, although I'm not sure I'd find a use for that many armored Russians since the only Dark Ages/Medieval game I play is SAGA.

Pagan Rus, Jomsviking, maybe regular old Viking (?), Hearthguard on foot.  Can't think of much else.  Maybe Welsh or Scots HG, with leg and head transplants...
