Thank you all  :D

Not much of an update but I've now added pieces of slate plus some crumbled cork to the bed of the waterfall.

Have also planked the inn (gaps are for the booths) and gap-filled with GS.

Next step is to bush sand where's it's needed to blend the everything to together, securing the sand with dilute glue.
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74
(2024 = 38; 2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Bloomin Eck! :o I leave this thread for 2 minutes and he's already built half of Westeros!

Wow! I love the work on the bridge and the inn. I'll need to remember this technique and use your thread for inspiration some time in there near future. Can't wait to see it painted mate! Brilliant stuff! :-*

Lovely work on the inn SI  :-*

I'm also glad I have saved up quite a number of similar cork products in my hobby drawers :D

Those famous words 'I missed this thread!"

Brilliant work Steve.  :-*

I'm getting to that stage in life where I have the space and time to build terrain boards, so this one is joining the 'how to' folder I'm putting together.
Don't!

Wow! Thanks for all the comments - very motivating  :D

I've now completed the building of all the tiles so the next stage is to paint them, beginning with an undercoat of acrylic Burnt Umber (without added water) from The Works (discount store).

The whole board so far:

The Inn entrance: fine beach sand used for the road and for brushing into gaps, coarser sharp sand for the grassed areas.

The side of the building showing where sand and dilute glue were used to create an uneven ground level; in the background is the ford.

The bridge with brushed-in sand.

The track up the cliffs with levels that minis can stand on.

Stepping stones (infantry only).

The waterfall and river.

The cliffs (with a lot of the cork boulders now covered by sand).

After painting, I'll add the water effects.
