:D though I don't think anyone has yet thought through a scenario that will accommodate the myriad of forces!  lol

Have just finished the Wildlings and the Boltons: here's a sneak preview of all 40 with proper daylight shots to follow tomorrow.

My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2025 = 74

EDIT: forward facing images replaced 10/1 following touch-ups etc

:)

The first of the Boltons and Wildlings are complete :) Twenty infantry for each, split into units of max 6.

The Boltons are based on the TV interpretation though I've gone for a different helmet (the morion not saying 'medieval' to me) and longbows.

First unit, the Captain and Banner:

Second unit, all swords:

Third unit, all bows:

Fourth unit, all spears:

The Wildlings are also based on the TV interpretation, the 'white grey' scheme used in series 4/5 but without the white. I changed the quiver and also made the bows as composite recurves, which I felt would better represent available resources. Of the 20 minis, 4 are female.

First unit, Captain and Banner (equivalents):

Second unit, mixed:

Third unit, mixed:

Fourth unit, mixed:

The Wildlings clothes are made from fur and leather (mammoth?) that is a similar colour to the rocks.  As part of the rules, they'll have more hiding opportunities to reflect that they can blend into the landscape (there's a Wildling to the right of the old fort entrance).

In due course they'll be fighting Wights, and to kill them they'll need fires:

PS: next step is to test out the rules on the 3x2 terrain that I've already made, with more terrain building after that, followed by Walkers/Wights, Nights Watch and Cleganes.

Thanks James & Richard :D

A few things need correcting now that I can see them on the TV as opposed to my phone, which I'll deal with idc.

That's rather good my friend!  :-* :-*

I'm impressed by the Wildlings particularly. The way you've painted them is very true to the films.

Very cool! They fit into the scenery very well.

What will the Clegane troops be doing 'up north'? :)

Nice! The Bolton sigils are really striking.

Thanks chaps.

The Cleganes up North? Well, I'm more interested in the men rather than the personalities so I very much doubt I'll be making The Mountain (or any other VIP) so it'll just be a band of Cleganes doing what they do best (murder, plunder, terror, general mayhem, etc) in the pay of the Lanisters. My project is a kind of imagined side story to the main events in the TV series rather than a recreation of its actual events. Hope this makes sense. :)

I ended up touching up or completely repainting all the eyes ..... :)

They look great, sir.
 8) 8)

The only worrying thing is the way that the Wildlings disappear into the background so easily without being noticed.
Sounds a little scary to me as it reminds me of someone.

Thanks LittleO and Paul  :)

Paul: The rules will provide for each faction to play from a set of options cards.  The Wildlings' cards will include hiding opportunities, the benefits of which are obvious.  The Boltons will get the opportunity to seize a prisoner and flay him (I am making a suitable figure), which will negatively affect morale for his comrades in line of sight.  ;)

I ended up touching up or completely repainting all the eyes ..... :)

I've now replaced all of the Unit forward facing images (though some people still might see the old, depending on their cache, etc). And here's a new one of the four ladies:
