Well I played my first game of Parsecs. I played a light version, just to see how things panned out. I love all the story ideas you can come up with.
All my characters are the standard Firefly meets Star Wars archetypes. Calimero painted the miniatures. For the Star Wars ones I asked him to paint them up differently (that's why Chewie looks like a Yeti).

The scenario I rolled is my intrepid band of adventurers are in need of some cash to repair their battered science ship the
Horizon. A local Tax collector is being threatened by a gang of local hoodlums. He hires the crew for protection.

The board is pretty simple, two administrative buildings on a barren rock of a mining planet. Our heroes are escorting Mr. Bigshot to his office when . . .

A firefight ensues. I used the 5 parsecs rules sparingly. It's all about 1s and 6s. Surprisingly I rolled quite a few.
My crew did quite poorly, with my muscle being knocked down twice. My leader bailed at one point and was unable to use his psionic attack. Eventually I killed most of the Waste landers and the battle droid ended up fleeing the battle. One of my crewmembers suffered a terrible injury and will be out of the next few games.

Walter E robot was guarding / repairing the ship.
I had fun, although playing solo is always a challenge. I didn't get a chance to use some of the close combat rules and I need to work out some of the more complicated rule issues like weapon choice.
I had lots of fun and will try again next week!
