Frostgrave for Tournament in November
« on: 27 October 2015, 07:49:07 PM »
As I signed up for the Frostgrave event in Nottingham at the end of November it occurred to me that I should paint up the figures I got with the Nickstarter. Still a bit unsure how to finish the bases off and got a pile of random encounter beasts and scenery in different stages of prep. I made multiples of most types so I could grow the warband over time.

Yeah, really great. Excellent colour scheme, as well.

Nice, neat painting.
The limited palette works really well and  those faces are excellent.

This'll be a thread to watch for me, because A: I really like your colours and B: I like what you did to the bases.

I love the muted tones. I was planning the same thing.

I was unsure how to go about the bases. I went for all snow myself. I did not like it. Whilst I do not like the raised flagstone thing, because I would've liked everything to be leveled, it actually doesn't really detract from the overall feel of the models, and it looks tons better than what I did.

So I might just go ahead and do the same. Maybe have some snow build up on the edges for some of the models.

See you there in November.  ;)

Thanks for the comments.
Next up Otherworld skeletons.  Not only my favourite skeletons, possibly my favourite sculpts of anything.
Got some creatures and terrain on the go as well.

Brilliant paintwork, especially those thugs. For 'muted' colours, you've really made them stand out!

Love those skellies...they really are top notch sculpts.  If I wasn't too damn cheap I'd have some by now.
