Any dressed Barbarians?
« on: 29 October 2015, 09:57:16 AM »
I was wondering if anyone had come across any decent figures to use as barbarians in such a cold climate? The only ones I seem to find (besides the official barbarian) seem to be virtually naked...

I use these guys:

They are hairy for that barbarian look and have 2 handed weapons but have some clothes on.

Maybe something like this?

Look for stuff sculpted by Tre Manor on Reaper Miniatures Site. Or Redbox and Hasslefree miniatures.

Red Box do a good range of Viking Barbarian types dressed for colder climes. I've used some myself...

I'm using the Frankish warrior from this set by Gripping Beast as my barbarian as I didn't want half naked for the frozen city

My first thought was Red Box as well, since they do their "Men of the North" and put some decent clothes on some of them.  Still some exposed arms etc...but definitely not running around in loin-cloths.  Tre Manor does a few for Reaper as well.

Hasslefree has these two minis, more vikings than barbarians, but may do?

And this gal, clearly a barbarian, but dressed enough in my opinion:

I guess the issue here is that Frostgrave is pretty clear that a Barbarian is armed with a two handed weapon, so it limits your choice a bit
