New Coat D'arms Super Shader

We have released a new range of shading products called Super Shader.

These are acrylic based stains which enable you to block paint your figures
and then shade them quickly and easily simply by painting Super Shader over
the whole figure, producing highlighting and shading. It is designed to
enable you to paint a whole army very quickly.

The three tones are:

420 Super Shader - Light Brown

421 Super Shader Dark Brown

422 Super Shader - Black

Unlike existing solvent-based "dip" products, Super Shader is an acrylic
stain and you can clean your brushes with water.

We will be producing example tutorials on using these and our new Super
Washes, but in the meantime there are a few quick sample photos of figures
painted with Super Shader here:

Those are really quick-paints.

The best effects are IMHO on the blue and green. Which surpises me, as those are also some of the darker colours used here. The GW washes work best on the lighter colours. Yours might be a good complement to those, I shall have to try a couple, next time I get around for some stuff (and I must have your modern civilians ;-)  ).

I'm sorry, but I'm not impressed when compared to the results I get with the new GW washes.  I confess, that's why I'm eagerly looking forward to the new C D'a. super washes.  I've already contacted the belgian distributor and it seems they're under way.  Hope I can obtain the same result as with the GW ones (I don't normally complain openly about prices, but the GW ones are really expensive if you know how fast the (little) pots empty...  ).

I think that different people have different ways of using things - these are our response to Army Painter and aimed at that market.  I will be doing better figures (these were done quickly and the photographs "wash out" the effect) with some samples over white undercoated figures to show the effect.  I also plan to do the same thing with the super washes as well.

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit harsh...  Statement is indeed purely from my point of view.  I have no doubts it will be a big step forward for many people and hope you sell a million!  Anything encouraging people to paint instead of fielding bare metal figures has my support!

Slight OT - but since you mentioned the Super Washes ...

I open mine and used them last night - they're great!!  Really impressed.  They do the same job as the GW ones I've tried, only with 9x18ml pots instead of 8x12ml pots, for the same price. I find that a better buy!!
