Snake Mountain
« on: October 31, 2015, 05:46:43 PM »
Of late, financial necessity has driven me to sell of large chunks of my hobby collection, mainly parts of my private miniatures range, so I've decided that to offset this, I would use a small fraction of the resulting funds to get something I'd had my eye on for quite some time now.

It's the Icon Heroes Snake Mountain resin statue. I haven't painted any of my old 25mm MOTU figures yet and they are in storage anyway, so I had another 28mm figure stand in to give an idea of the size. While it's still not as big as full scale would be, this thing is huge and will have a suitably large footprint on the table to work convincingly. It's fully painted and crammed full of lovely little details. I must say I'm quite taken with it.  :-*

Ah, the excesses of 1980s Mattel-driven children's culture o_o

I feel slightly embarrassed of my own childhood just looking at that thing ;)

Yes, the 80's were a great time to be alive. For those of you with true megalomaniacal aspirations, you might be interested to know a huge Snake Mountain (to go along with 7" figures) is slated to be released in 2016.

White Knight, that sculpt is amazing. It has a lot of potential for gaming, whether Eternia-centred or otherwise. Thank you for sharing the photos!

That huge version looks interesting too, would be a real mountain if converted to 28mm. ;)

I knew there was a Grayskull, but not a Snake Mountain. I want both of these, but I doubt I can afford them!
