This is a great thread and such amazing looking conversions.  :)

This game would be a blast to play in.

Thank you all for your comments.
Just completed another 10 French zombies to add to the horde

Hope you like them.

Any plans to do anything with Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter?
I don't intend doing an Abe Lincoln but I am considering doing a similar theme with the remnants of the IX Legion fighting their way out of Caledonia.....

  • But maybe everything that dies, someday comes back
They look great!

D'you think there might be other zombified figures in the offing - camp followers, sutlers, victuallers, civvies, etc.?

Just discovered this project thread, Pappa Midnight, and just like your "Zombie Hunting with Style" project, it's fantastic. Great overall vision, wonderful conversions, and excellent painting. Looking forward to seeing how it unfolds.

Hope the exams are going well!

Thank you for the comments. No studying for a while so I managed to get some more bits done.
First up some more French Zombies:

And a French Hussar:

And finally some wolves and a bear:

Should be starting on some buildings and a board soon.

I've just finished reading some memoirs from the retreat and there are several references to the 'Senseless Ones',  soldiers so crazed by their plight that they tore still living horses to pieces, drinking their blood and eating organs and horseflesh until their hair, hands and faces were blackened in blood. It's an horrific, sad end but I can't help think of the name 'Senseless Ones' when I see these.

And another nicely painted Dire Bear. I really like that sculpt!

Lovely colours, they really set an appropriate mood.

Sounds fascinating. Can you recommend books to read?

The particular book I was just reading is 'With Napoleon's Guard in Russia 1812; Memoirs of Major Vionett'. The English translation is by Jonathan North.

Also good is '1812, Napoleon's Fatal March on Moscow ' by Adam Zamoyski.
