Everything about the game looks great so far. Any updates on the ruleset? The preview looks great and very professional!
Still, after reading the threads on it, it's looking like it wont be ready in time for Christmas, right?

You are correct Hugomf, the rulebook and miniatures will not be released until early (?) 2009. The rulebook is getting polished up and should be ready for a good last read thru by the end of December...fix mistakes, add more pictures, change poorly worded text, that sort of thing. With any luck it will be off and running by mid March. That is not to say it will, just that it could be.

I will try and keep you guys posted...just be patient and keep repeating to yourselves, "It's only a game...It's only a game..."

The most important thing is that everything looks and feels polished and professional upon release. Thanks for the update, glad to know its still coming along  :D

Where miniatures are involved, it's never 'only a game'. It's part of the hobby, and, remember, you told us about this yourself  >:D

Yeah, with this being basically a garage project, we're doing everything we can to make it look really good.  We've all seen those generic staple bound rules sets.  We want full colour in your face, with high production values.  We want it to stand out.

I must warn you, that I have a cunning sceme laid out for 2009:

I shall do a log of acquired vs painted minis with a running balance that should be positive in the favour of the painted side at all times.... Will seriously hamper my money-spending, I think....  :-I

On the danish warmachine/hordes forums they run something called a "pledge" - it almost what you describe. Only a slight twist:

You total up your painted and bought... but painted counts 0,5 and bought counts 1. So you have to paint two minis every time you buy 1 to keep your pledge score 0.  :D

So woddoyoudo when you haven't got minis left?? At some point you can only get a negative score... lol

I immediately shall adopt this idea, but painted will count .75 the first year. Otherwise it would be utopian for me to keep a positive score....  ;)

I'll do the one on one comparison in size sub-categories (Normal Infantry, Cavalry, Large Monster, Small Vehicle, etc.), and then have a 'Total Pledge'.

Idea is that everyone has a mountain of lead.. so you won't run dry and have to buy new stuff to keep it from going negative!

Ok I'm with you on the pledge. I'll add it to my profile.-- as soon as I've secured two tickets to AC/DC... in 5 minutes!
