eMills' Strange Aeons
« on: November 04, 2015, 08:24:37 PM »
So, I finally broke down and purchased SA now that 2nd Edition is out. After reading the rules, I immediately joined the Cult of the Black Goat as well, so I have VUK to play with too. Excellent game; well done Uncle Mike!

I was inspired immediately to make a Threshold Team.

Christine Hedstrom, Threshold Character and team leader:

Wargames Factory female survivor with WF WWII US Parts. Still not certain about the hat, but I wanted something to bring the figure back to the 30's. She still needs a scarf, and some sculpting touch up on her shirt. And a thumb since hers broke off when I dropped her.

Paul "Paulie" D'Augustino, Threshold Agent and former Mob Enforcer:

Wargames Factory WWII US boots and weapon arm, WF male survivor left arm, and Warlord Games WWII US Marine head. Still lots of sculpting left to do.

Professor Thomas Arborghast, Civilian:

Wargames Factory male survivor with some sculpting. Need to add a few more details and he'll be done.

I have the following for Lurkers so far:
The Deep One I made for the LPC:

And a Deep One sorcerer I started:

I know Deep Ones are usually fish men, but I think that lots of sea life is game for them, so the Eel man works well in my opinion.

I'll be working on human Cultists too, and will post them when I've got something to show.

In the meantime, here are some Dagonite Cultist masks that I started working on, and will hopefully be able to have printed eventually:

As always, comments, questions, and criticism is appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

~Eric

Eric, those 3d sculpted masks are stunning, as good as anything I've ever seen cad wise

Let everyone know if you get them cast, I'd be up for a bunch of those for my dagonite
Cultists

Regards

Jim

Thanks Jim I appreciate that.

I will definitely let you know when I get to that point.

I'm shooting for 5 or so different designs before I start looking into printing.

Great start!  I thought you did a fine job on your agents slouch cap.  The wargames factory models changed period nicely and I missed it completely.  The T'Kik reaper fishman looks awesome and troubles me that I haven't been able to acquire any myself; It's an excellent model and super cheap as a bones fig so it's usually sold out :) .  Beautiful masks.

I understand your slide into madness.  I followed much the same path.

Really good job on setting the era with little mods.

The masks are a great idea.  Allows you to turn whatever model you want to your (no doubt nefarious) purpose.  I also would be interested in some, if and when.

Thanks horridperson. I appreciate it. You should definitely keep trying for the fish men from Reaper. There are a few different ones, including some bigger ones. Good figures all around too.

Thanks UM. Glad you like my efforts so far.

Thanks rcketscientst. I'm happy to hear (from you and horridperson) that the figures are fitting into the 30's time period well. I will definitely let everyone know if and when I get the masks made.

Had some time to work on another mask. Here is #3:

Thanks again everyone for stopping by and commenting. I greatly appreciate it.
