These are great. I want more sickly things for my nurgle daemons and toads and slugs are the best for it.

What sort of price point are you going for?

I'm really looking forward to getting mine. I hope they don't turn out to be a mishapen heap when they arrive though as it's really hot here at the moment. Not Australia hot but still hot.

The postie just handed me a little square package. I guess I'll be rinsing resin tonight.  :D
I couldn't help opening the package quickly and taking a peek. They look excellent! Absolutely lovely sculpting. Clean neat castings, no bubbles or other casting imperfections, they need no work to be ready for paint. Love 'em! :-*

Shouldn't be too long now!

Here are some pictures of the Giant Slugs that were sculpted during the campaign. After a bit of research, and looking at all the wonderful colours slugs come in, I went for a rich brown/orange colour scheme. (Vallejo Dark Fleshtone/Beasty Brown/Orange Fire/Off White. Black was used to darken the eyestalks and paint the pupils). A few coats of gloss varnish gives a really nice slimy wet looking finish.

And a scale shot!

Thanks for looking!

Poor martial artist can't seem to catch a break!

Those are some very convincing-looking slimy monstrosities. Well done.

Very nice.
I got my toads a couple of days ago. They look awesome. So what are you making next?

(love the skull piles too)

Cool stuff. I love the shiny skin on the slugs. Have you considered doing that with the frogs too?

Thanks

Astonishing! These are brilliant - and, while the gloss varnish is used to specific and tremendous effect here, it does support my thesis that all miniatures look better in gloss!  ;)

Couldn't agree more! Gloss varnish has an effect where it increases the perceived tonal range of paint making the darks darker and the lights brighter. I brush varnish everything and, even though I use matt, it goes through that initial glossy stage where the colours just pop!

Yes when I was gloss varnishing these I did look over at the toads and they looked a bit wrong sitting there all perfectly matt! But I'm thinking when something gets very cold it has that matt frosting and really hot coals or fire is pretty matt so maybe that's how the fire and ice toads should look. The toad eyes will get a lick of gloss though. That always has a nice effect.

I have a little selection of creatures and terrain bits in the pipeline once all the ks parcels are sent out. That'd be after the new website is launched though. :)

Are you sure you've sculpted them?......they look real to me! ;) I think you've just superglued slugs from your back garden onto some bases! lol
