Thanks for the replies, I will try the green stuff bases, very good idea, the blues I used were 3 GW paints, Caldor blue,telcis blue and lothern blue with the final highlight of pale blue by Vallejo. Should have a couple more done tomorrow

If you want something similar for your bases, but don't want to use putty, Ash Barker has a good solution here. What's cool about this is that you can use anything suitable (even thin card) and can also apply it to the bases afterwards if you prefer.

As much as I admire the studio paintjobs by Giraldez, it's so nice to see different approaches.
