Background terrain piece for taking photos of Miniatures
« on: 01 December 2015, 09:30:00 AM »
I build a background for taking pictures of my painted figures. I couldn't stand anymore to put up a background every photo session  so I build a permanent one.
I think the blue sky is a little bit to dark so I will go over it again with my airbrush to lighten it a bit maybe I will ad some clouds what do you think? More pictures and a how to  as always on www.wargamesgazette.com

That's a good idea.  Wish I had the space.

What a lovely shooting scene. The lighter the background, the more light it will reflect back into scene (a good thing).

Is the background "attached"?

If not, you could have a couple different backgrounds to change it up a bit, but I would try it with plain white (or a very light/pale blue) as well.... just to get the most reflection on to the mini

I am working on a similar "staging area", but much smaller.

The background is detachable and I am thinking of doing some different ones too

What an excellent set up! I’d be interested in seeing your different backgrounds if you do any.

Haven't done any jet . To many other projects distracted me . I made a smaller setup though. You can see it here: https://wargamesgazette.com/2020/03/30/new-picture-frame/

Example with figure:

That dark blue might work well for night, or dawn/dusk, scenes.

Nice setup! Cool to see that little background in focus and then blurred out in the background of the picture.
