Good start ... although you might get on better with the pink or blue polystyrene ... the white stuff is frustratingly crumbly for carving ... and the coloured stuff has the added bonus of taking stone textures pressed into it quite well. Just a  thought before you go too far ....

You are of course totally correct! I normally use either the blue or pink styrofoam. This white piece just happened to be the correct size and at hand when I needed it. As it is only the plinth that the building will sit on I was not to concerned. I will be putting on a thickish layer of tiling grout to disguise and strengthen the foam before I get around to painting it.

That's cracking - love the pillars you could sell those you should print some more... Look forward to seeing this piece.
