Now that you mention it, it all comes back to me.  Camera-like heat ray it is then!

Ya heathens!  lol  Wells describes the weapon that fires the heat ray as a box-like or camera-like case carried by the metallic arms of the tripod.

Color me schooled.  :D

I still think the build is awesome.

That is looking fantastic Svenn!

The only thing I think it needs is some feet. It looks like it is walking on stumps. Otherwise terrific work and I can't wait to see it finished and painted.

Cheers

Fuzzy.

P.S. You really should make molds of this.  :D
Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly
down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red
Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture,
torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals.

Very splendid indeed.

I hope the Shropshire twins are suitably impressed and willing to part with offensive sums of money to acquire them. They are certainly worth it. ;D

For the arms/tentecles have you thought of using guitar strings ? just slot wire or metal rod in them in order to shape them to right shape.

The piping on the legs is done with guitar strings. The wound strings still have a core which you cannot remove and replace with a stiffer wire so yes, great idea in principle but too tricky.

Oh blimey, I can't believe I've missed this thread for so long. Absolutely tip-top old chap, a really wonderful build.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the Thunderchief Twins will accomplish with it, although they might be confused by the conspicuous lack of bottle tops.  ;)

What they do at GW is cast the guitar wire and run off lengths of it which can be bent easily.
I'm thinking of asking AA if they want to do this as part of their 'parts' range.  :)

I hope they don't fall out over it and tear it to pieces whilst trying to gain full ownership  :(
