Warhammer 40.000 second edition, a french convention In Paris.
« on: 02 December 2015, 03:09:55 PM »
Hello all !

Two weeks ago, my good friend Pestilus has organized a V2 day in Paris.

We were ten to fight, five proud loyalists and five chaotic scums or damned xenos.

The good boys were Squats, Sisters of battle, superb Arlequin, Imperial guard (who fight arlequins in the first battle because one evil player was late.) and my aurora chapter marines.

The bad boys were nurgle marines, slaneeshi cultists, orks, orks and genestealers cultists.

Imperium win the day easily, we were all surprised of this as chaos is considered hard.

As it was a campaign, we used some house rules.

Each side get a supreme commander who does not play as usual.
In fact there was four tables where lieutenants fight.
Each lieutenant play three games with different foes.
Before the battle, the supreme commander choose the mission for each lieutenant. Each mission was available once for each player.
No one know who he will fight neither his mission.

At the start of the battle, the supreme commander divide his own forces between the boards to reinforce his lieutenants. I think the imperial commander play this part better than his chaos counterpart.

For the third game I have painted two knights, an imperial and a chaotic one, they were well appreciated.

A great day of play and fairplay, we were all very pleased and it was pleasant too seen new faces or old one coming back.

And now some pictures  ;)

Ah thos times when the heavy bolter was actually useful (helfire)!

A pity they didn't release rule for the primarchs tough, if you want them you have to play with 7th instead.

What rules did you use for the knights, armorcast?
