Calpe and Westfalia Napoleonic Saxons
« on: 06 December 2015, 10:21:21 AM »
Bonjour Tous,

I've acquired a number of the rather marvellous Westfalia Saxon infantry and artillery.

I am stunned by the quality of the sculpting and casting and have made a start on painting some line infantry and preparing a battery of 4-pounders.

I'm also a big fan of Calpe who have some Saxons too.

Does anyone know if they're compatible with each other?

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Dirk,

Thanks for the info.

I'll probably get a Calpe Saxon battalion then rather than trying to mix the two in the same unit.

Cheers,

Paul

The ones with the little black dots are Calpe the rest is Westfalia.
but as Dirk already said - Calpe tends to be bigger and more beefy than pretty much everything else.
westfaliaminiatures.com - proper stuff in 28mm

Does anyone know if there is Saxon Light Cavalry on the horizon with Calpe, Elite, or Westfalia?

See this thread -

Looks like they are coming up next - but not sure how soon this will be - I am sure that some where here I have seen a dolly for the light horse.

I don't know but would guess that the success of the Westphalia halflings Kickstarter may keep Schrumpkopf busy for a while  :D .
