Introduced my friend Michael to Broken Legions yesterday and he really like the game. It was a chance for the Dacians that I had painted up to make their debut and for me to try out the Romans.

I am actually strangely looking forward to this ruleset alot. I like the fantasy-ancients angle it takes, and it seems like a good excuse to paint up a small Roman warband. Definitely following this with a close eye.

I'm looking forward to these rules quite a bit - our group has played a lot of Legends of the Old West. Can anyone say if:

-Do these rules have a campaign system, including character advancement?
-Do any of the Roman factions get to use any mythical creatures, such as the Minotaur on the book cover?
-The Minotaur on the cover looks to be around 20 feet tall...does anyone know of a good figure that would work for 28mm at this height?

Yes the rules include a very basic campaign system.

No the three different Roman warband types do not have access to any mythical creatures.

I have no idea about the huge minotaur figure.

Can I use an elephant with my Roman band of ne'er do wells?

When are the rules out?

I am increasingly of the opinion I'm just going to sell my 28mm Romans. It's the elephant holding me back!

This game looks awesome and I'm looking forward to it. I want to start collecting to be ready for it.

Can anyone tell me where to find some mythological creatures from this era?

Who makes the best 28mm Romans? Is it Aventine?

Don't know about the beasts, but Aventine is my choice for Romans

Very nice looking game and minis.
Also you have succeded in adding "make an amphitheatre in 6mm" to my to do list. Thank you, I think...

Is there any place where we can find out more about these rules? Judging by the cover it looks like you can take your band of merry romans a monster huntin'
This would interest me ;-)

Osprey Publishing are the culprits!
It's a future release, I'd tell you when but their website isn't playing ball for me at the moment!
