Most regular games should be on 3x3, but if you do 3+ players allot then I'd go with the 4x4 or 4x6

3 x 3 even huh? Hmmm...
Well... I am not sure if we are ever going to do any large battles, and even if we did, nothing wrong with starting up close and personal. More brutal combat, if you ask me.

3 x 3 is 90cm x 90cm I am guessing? That WOULD fit my table better... Hmmm...

Some people even use 2x2.

For those who played a bunch already, is 4 by 4 enough, or should I really go 4 by 6? I personally think 4 by 4 is fine, but admittedly haven't played a lot of games yet.
I think it comes down to how much room you have?  You can always just play on a portion of a larger mat, but if all you have is a small mat you are always limited to that size.

Does anyone know of a supplier for the US that has decently priced mats?

I ordered one of these and I am very happy with it , highly recommend. I live in Spain so they do delivery out side the UK. Delivery UK to Spain cost me 7 Pounds.

Those are nice looking mats, with reasonable prices for both the product and international shipping (around $10).  I was looking at mats from another maker, who wanted £120 to ship two cloth mats to the US!

If you have the design you can go to inked gaming. They also offer an already printed snow mat

Also there is http://cigarboxbattlestore.bigcartel.com/product/frozen-ruins-3x3-201 . Though it is durable fleece not a mousepad style.

I'll also point out that I have not personally ordered from either place but I have heard good reviews on Inked gaming from local gamers.
