It looks the business :) . The windows are spot on.

Are you going to add any decals?

Thought about that, but no.

It would detract from the metallic paint effect. I could do some decals on the bottom side of the craft but they would't be visible anyway, so I didn't bother  :D

That works well, and straight out of the box by the looks of it.

Nice clean work, and I quite like the green shimmering effect. I agree that decals would detract from it, most likely, but I wonder if you could pick out those various jet intakes to provide a spot of contrast - right now, it looks a bit like a "nugget of purest green" except for the very well-done canopy glass. ;)

Alternatively, maybe pick out the panel lines in some darker tone, maybe a very dark black green rather than pure black?

Yep, no modifications at all. And it give me proper motivation to work on the older Quinjet  ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I may try that.

Maybe these intakes in black

And these type of panel lines in dark green?

Precisely that. Maybe just use a little wash and not a proper coat of paint, just to liven up the surface a bit.

Ok, I'll try that later today. Keeping my fingers crossed while doing that kind of work since I'm not used to that  lol

Thin paint, fine brush and a steady hand - failing the latter, patience may be substituted. :)

One tip I once saw was to paint water into the recesses and then a small blob of wash... then the wash fills the space.

I have never tried it but it was from one of the 'Eavy Metal painters from GW.

Ah Christian, your "nugget of purest green" remark had me (literally, for once on the internet) laughing out loud. That has been something of a catchphrase in my family ever since the 80s when that show first aired. My brother still says it all the time, at the drop of a hat.

So thank you for that.

Nice piece of purest green you have there, Predatorpt. Lovely metallic look bordering on the iridescent.

Hmm, never heard of that method before. I'll have to check it out!

Hmm, I have some fine technical pens... Maybe I can try them out?

Thanks! I advise everyone to try out those Multi-Effect sprays from Humbrol.

Still haven't finished painting mine, but I saw a Quinjet similar to mine painted in another nice scheme - but being used for 15mm figures - and I had to share

Unfortunately I can't find more pictures of it.
