Noon at Area 51 in Grapevine Texas.

I have enough toys for up to a dozen players and do not anticipate more than 3-4 at most. Come join in the fun. All newbies and a few pre-teens as well.

Everyone is most welcome to come and die a grizzly death or go mad attempting to oppose the unseen evil that is "Strange Aeons"!  >:D

8 players with me introducing 7 newbies, including a pair of lads 9-10 or so.  After the first round or two everyone was pretty much on auto-pilot and I tossed a game with a late-comer myself.  Everyone except the late-comer and myself played 2 games and we wrapped up after 4 hours.

Not bad at all IMO, but, I am not sure about using this at a convention.  I think I may try a set of more scripted scenarios for our convention this summer.  Maybe have "pre-built" teams to choose from?  That seems to take alot of time.  Once the battle start, it rolls fast.  Still thinking it over in context of a convention/intro game...

Scott, sounds like an awesome time was had.  8)

For a convention, no matter the game or the setting, I always go with teams and rosters ready to play. I just assign squads or teams as people arrive at the table. It's best for everyone and gets the dice rolling that much sooner.

Interesting and straight forward objectives for each roster is important, but convention games have a tendency to quickly derail and become free-for-alls, so don't be surprised when folks invent their own fun version of the story.
