A new Canadian :-)
« on: January 07, 2016, 02:09:41 AM »
After 22 years of using my Landed Immigrant and the Permenant Resident status to freely travel the world for work, I finally took my Canadian citizenship test last month and passed with 100% result - the pass mark was recently raised from 65% to 75% correct in the exam which lead to a 30% increase in failures.

I am not sure if I found the exam easy with English being my first language but I completed the test and interview in under 30 minutes :-)

So now I have dual citizenship - British and Canadian. Having the Canadian passport wil make visiting the colonies (USA  :) ) a lot easier now.

Cheers eh err,

Graham W

Hey there Graham,

Similar story for me too, dual British and Canadian citizenship here as well. Can't remember what percentage I got on my test though.

Shame the exchange rate is so bad now, it's almost prohibitive going to the states now.

Good luck!

Ditto.

Welcome to the new world.

(The test is a bit of a joke isn't it)

Lets just say that it could be more challenging given the amount of reading and audio they recommend on their website.
