Swiss Army bunkers on BBC News
« on: 08 January 2016, 06:18:52 AM »
These are actually pertient to WWII as well as the Cold War (and would be good for PA too!), but I felt it was most appropriate to post them here: BBC News have a  brief article with loads of pictures of former Swiss Army bunkers. Many of the pics show them being re-used for different purposes, but there are some useful pics of reconstructed interiors, and the outsid shots are good too. And I could think of cunning ways to have an abandoned bunker used as a stable (as shown on the site) still being in use for its original purpose, cleverly camouflaged as a decommissioned bunker.

Very interesting.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Very cool!  Thanks for sharing.  I'm in Moscow and the Mrs took me to their former War Games bunker

And of course it shouldn't surprise anyone that Swiss Army Bunkers have a multitude of uses. ;)

You can't mature cheese on a Swiss army knife*, but the SAB can do that too!
