My warband will be exclusively drawn from Aly Morrison/Talisman minis (still half a dozen minis to go to cover all the potential recruits), the Lich is an old AD&D model from citadel and the terrain is hirst arts block with heavy acrylic gel and bicarbonate for snow effects.

Liquitex gloss heavy gel mixed with bicarb, then when it's almost dry (about 15 mins usually) sprinkle for bicarb on top to give them impression of newer snow over compacted snow/ice, blow off excess.
Then a few light coats of halfords clear lacquer and you're done. It's fairly durable so far.

Excellent paintjobs!  I really love the "skin" on the lich - extremely well done and creepy!   :o

A few more bits of scenery done, a crypt and graveyard, with a few new members of the warband.

The crypt and the graveyard walls are great .... how are you doing those ... not stone by stone?
