You can make 60mm wide long corridors with it and even add vents in at various points. That's already been designed and cut. I think Chris is going to design some stairs but a lift or ventilation shaft would be cool. I like the slope idea too.

I can see that people are very interested in this so I am hoping to get some pieces released early this week. I will probably start off with a couple of sets and frets of individual pieces to add to them. I am very excited about this project if you are coming to Hammerhead you should be able to see it in action as we are putting on a Star Wars game in colaboration with Crooked Dice. I have a big list of extra pieces I want to make including lifts, stairs, gantries, furnishings & set dressings, double height pieces for hanger bays etc. I hope to have a few more photos to share later today.

With luck, a following wind and appropriate training from a little green bloke in a swamp, I am hoping to be your designated "Demo Monkey" for that game. Which means I get to repeatedly play with the toys. Hooray for me!

If you're up for suggestions on expansion for this range, my vote goes for "anything that looks like it came out of Moonbase Alpha". Combining your stuff with some of Ainsty's sci-fi bits-and-pieces will be just what I've been after for ages. :-)

Hi Morgan, That's great news. I got an email from Karl to that effect earlier this morning. I think the game will be a lot of fun. I'm not so familiar with 'Moonbase Alpha' do you have any links to some images you can share. Was it a TV series I missed in my youth?

Chris, what were you up to back then? Were you wandering the hills, a piece of straw between your teeth, dreaming about IT and pyramids?

Space 1999 was a great TV series with lots of cardboard sets, models suspended from strings and OTT acting. Like Dr. Who of the period, it was a wondrous thing to behold.

Happy New Year, Chris,

James

Hi James, and Happy New Year to you too.

I'm not quite sure how I missed out on Space 1999, certainly heard of it but not sure I've seen it. I had best do some professional research!!

Out of interest, what sort of playing size do people want? I would like at least a 3' x 3' layout for an Aliens game, Judge Dredd and zombie/PA.

Actually, the 'extendable' nature makes me suggest a 2' by 2' set, assuming the 'rooms' would fit. If you buy 6, you could cover a 6' x 4' table, which is pretty common, and makes my mouth water, and three should give you that 3' x 3', with a lot of slack for how one wants it customized.

Am I making ANY sense? Always a first time, I suppose.

Thanks for that!

One of my favourite shows when I was a kid. Loved the scenery, the spaceships, I totally believed it.

I've been experimenting with some clear doors.
If any one has any ideas for other 'door labels', let me know.

I had a range of rooms planned including :

Medical / Med-bay
Science
Engineering (probably too long)
Security
Command
Hab / Habitat / Accommodation
Cargo Bay
Vehicle Bay
Workshop
Hydroponics
R&D
Administration / Administration
Comms / Communications

They were primarily going to be defined by the furniture but the odd door would be great.
