These look great and I will be interested to see if they make it to the retail space.

If they were available in a variety of 2'x2' sections with doors consistently placed, then a person could buy multiples of them and be able to adjust the layout of their table easily.
The winning player isn't always the better player.

Here is another special door, this time for a radiation hazard containment door.

My plan at the moment is to make range available as frets of component parts, for example eight 60mm pre-painted wall sections for £4.30 and then to do a series of sets that make up 300mm square.

Everything is interchangable and fits together like a jigsaw puzzle so no problems with lining doors up from different sets.

Right, I got these were interchangeable, but you did ask 3 x 3?

For those of us who're backward folk: so a foot, square. Chose nine to make your 3' by 3', 24 for the 6' by 4' Sean and I implied?

Works for me.  :D

Only one minor suggestion...provide kits with the labeled doors and without (or, alternately sell the doors as a standalone project).  A lot of projects may not be based in Humanity or even English, and occasionally you want to turn a room into something different.  As long as that's possible, awesome.

Are you doing all of the sets in 60mm sections?  That'd be a downside for me.  I like the jigsaw puzzle/build your own concept, but I'd really prefer having some large stand-alone rooms without having to bash them up every time out of small sections.  I'd vastly prefer to see some 6-10" rooms sold as is with a couple of doors in various walls, and then being able to implement it seemlessly with the smaller bits.  Modularity is cool but I've found with my Dwarven Forge dungeons it makes stuff waaaaay too time consuming.  It's why I'm glad I have a bunch of the old DF stuff which was much larger (normally 4"x4" sections).

Elbows,  the original design had 60mm, 120mm, 180mm and 240mm wall sections.  I'm fairly sure Chris still has 4 wall sizes.

I wanted to have large standalone rooms, hence the larger 240mm size. You could have one of them with 4 walls (or 8 if you double side them for external and internal finishing) combined of plain walls, windows,  vents and obviously at least one door. You'd then add say four 4x4 floor tile sections internally and four or five single runs on the outside (3x1, 2x1 and 1x1; each square being 60mm) for a 1'x1' section.

The system contains wall and floor tile section which are 60mm, 120mm, 180mm & 240mm.
If you want a quick set up you can always glue your rooms together. Steve's original idea was to glue his rooms together and then add the corridors in between them each time it is set up. This is a good compromise between flexability and speed. It was only when I started making and testing the pieces that I found that they could be freestanding without any glue, so if you were short on space you could flat pack the whole set between games. I have not decided what to do with my set in the long term, but for now an really enjoying the flexability to have a completely different layout each time.

Standard doors are the grey painted ones. The clear doors are special extra's that you will be able to buy as single items if you want them and I will work through any requests that come in through LAF so if you want some labelled in Russian or Klingon... no problem, just let me know!

Chris is right, that was my original plan,  though now I see the flexibility on offer I may change my mind! I like how rooms can be back to back and annexed.

OK... I have had lots of emails saying when can I buy some, so I have spent the day putting the basic bits on the web site.
Their will be a lot more door / wall / furniture pieces added together with bigger sets, but for now you can buy all of the pieces in either sets of the same sort of piece or sets that make up a room with a single entrance ranging from 60mm x 60mm to 240mm x 240mm.

Can you show some pictures of the difference dimensions of the rooms (60x60 to 240x240) with a single figure inside? Looks nice, but the 60x60 seems to be to small for gaming.

The 60x60mm rooms are intended for small storage rooms, lifts, cells, narrow corridors,  etc. I'm pretty sure they can also be used to break up larger rooms.

I am going to be busy today getting customer orders cut and dispatched, but will certainly be adding some photographs of each sized room on Friday, however I must agree with Steve 60mm square rooms are very, very useful. This is what I use for Turbo-lifts, cells, storerooms, showers & wcs etc. and also very useful for making a room within a room.

I have done a bit more work on the web-page this morning and the photo-gallery has 19 images loaded (some of which feature 60mm square rooms).

I just placed an order, I tried ordering just the bits but ended up too confused and went for the kits in the end. I didn't order any clips and am thinking maybe I should have do they work without the clips? If not I'll have to add some to the order.

I managed to spend more than I meant to and have only half as much as I want.

A couple of questions:

How well do you think they would stack? Can't have Star Wars without a doorway ending in a broken extending bridge now can we?

Also do the doors in the kits come with the frosted perspex insert? Do hey come ready punched for the insert or can you have windowless doors?

For the record these are going to be used for Clone Wars fun so I think the white colour scheme is just perfect.

I'm afraid the confusion is largely my fault!  I wanted a kit of parts and maximum flexibility,  hence the choices. I'm currently planning my order and I'm probably going to go with room options plus s few extra pieces for Windows and doors.

I think Chris intends on looking at a multi level option and I've been tinkering with some other features too.
