Elven Warband-The cavalry arrive.

I'd welcome some feedback. Here are some pictures of a test batch of Elves I've done for my Dragon Rampant warband. These are for the Light infantry. I wanted something more Dark Ages than most offerings. I made these with Tanatus Saxons and some Elf heads I got from White Knight. They work well with the Otherworld Drow. I was happy enough with the conversion to have placed an order for enough Saxons to finish out the warband.







I'm using Otherworld Dark Elves for Elite Foot.

They look fantastic. Very believable and they look like the figures were intended like this, not conversions.  :-*

They have jumped straight from the pages of the LOTR books. Very much as I imagine them.

Great idea using the Saxon bodies, and the other world figs make great "normal elves" as well.

Now there are some TERRIFIC LOOKING Pointy Eared Folk...nothing tres chic about these Guys. OUTSTANDING WORK on some UBERCOOL minis!

Really effective conversions - as the others have said they look like they were originally sculpted like that. I think the slightly thinner style of the Tanatus Saxons adds to the overall effect. Please post pics of the completed band once they're finished!

I agree with everyone here, those look great!  I like the fact that they are more dark age than full plate/ high medieval.  I would love to see more.

They look great and I think that you may have solved my 'which Elves for LotR?' quandary for me.

Great looking conversions! Feels like I'm repeating what everyone else is saying but these also scream Lotr to me  :D
