Dragon Rampant Barbarian Warband
« on: January 15, 2016, 05:00:46 AM »
I've been slowly working my way through my half painted lead pile and luckily I had a whole bunch of grenadier barbarians on the table along with some giants. I took the opportunity to finish them off and have a warband ready for Dragon Rampant. My brother is coming up for a few days so hopefully I'll get a couple of games in.

Here they are as a whole. I have excess of the points allowance of 24 which gives me some scope to choose from.
2 Giants (Greater Warbeasts)
2 Smilodons (will have a bear added to it at some point, Lesser Warbeasts)
12 warriors (Bellicose Foot)
1 Hero mounted on Rhino (Elite Cavalry, Single warrior unit) possibly a leader
2 Small Giants, lets say ogres (Elite Foot reduced model unit, one more to be added)
Chief/Wizard on shield (Eilte Foot, Spellcaster)
Hero's and Shamans (Heavy Foot, Wizardly)

I need to expand this with some archer units and I want some Mammoths as well.

Looks cool! Any chance of some close-ups?

What kind of warband is your brother bringing? Battrep, plz.  :)

He'll probably pull out some old chaos warriors from 3rd edition. I'll see if I can take some photos and do a batrep.
Oh, close photos can be found in "my summer project" in the workbench. Others I think are in my general fantasy thread but I thought I'd put a pic of the whole lot together to show of the whole group.

Cool!  I would love to get my Copplestone/Grenadier/Mirliton barbarians painted up for Dragon Rampant.
So many games, so little time.

Thanks. I got them from forlorn hope when they released them they tried to get some more uses out of the old mold. They had some terrible mold lines but turned out good enough.

Do it! These minis really have stood the test of time. Some of the best ones on the market I still think.

I've based these guys better now with some static grass which makes them just look that little bit better.
