On the rotating cake stand front, you can collect one from your local 'Works' branch by going to their website and just ordering and paying for it online and they'll e-mail you once it's arrived at their shop.  No charge for shop to shop transfer when I did it.

Alas no cake stand ;D But for everyone who Sent  a PM asking me to pick up one I've done so,( fastoifrus managed yours as well just drop a PM .)Looked like an Ubber Geek cleared the entire display stand lol the looks I got I couldn't help myself I had to defend myself and ended looking even more of a geek" there not all for me ones going to Portugal " it's never going to sound cool.
I asked about other stores and the manager couldn't see any reason for them not to turn up in other stores at the same price So keep popping in.( looked even more of a geek) :D
Pistolpete did a thread last year on pulping as sea plane.so the end result for the boat will be along a similar theme ( possibly dazzle patterned,or a dirty white with a desert south sea island bum feel to it.I wanted to try both but there weren't enough boats in the store :?) I  added a picture of the seaplane just to give an idea and the ship for a possible off white buy more inclined to do blue grey white rather than a cream white.

Here in the colonies, we find rotating Rubbermaid rotating storage flats. Not sure how it'd work with the sharpie plan, but we try to have one in the paint booth to allow full coverage at one go.

Now I heard from everyone ,and everyone's got there kits I finally got to open my kit!
This kit should be a dream to build so I'm thinking of doing another pulp pimping thread.with a bit on waterlining but this kit has a lovely straight a line built into the hull so it's not really needed for this kit.

On the Works website it is going for £10 see http://www.theworks.co.uk/p/toy-models/revell-us-navy-swift-boat-model-kit/4009803651224 The works are stocking some ready made 1/48 scale looking tanks at the moment for £5. See for example http://www.theworks.co.uk/p/die-cast-models/somua-s-35-tank-die-cast-model/5060146324816

I'd still be tempted at £10, it's a clean simple kit no interior detailing and the doors are cast on ,But they've a nice high profile. The stern anchor is cast on a long with a coil of line. Its a little flat but shouldn't take much to tweak. The stern gun mount pedistal is also cast on,which is a bit odd given how fragile it looks.

I think the tank is 1/43 but I noted three different half tracks in the window of ours as I walked past today.i didn't get chance to look any closer.

Nothing ever appeared in the three Works near me. The tanks and half tracks appear to have a touch of the 'box scale' about them. Some are noticeably too large for 28mm figures but the Somua isn't bad at all. I've compared it with my Artizan 28mm stuff against photos (never really a great indication due to all the variables that can skew that) and I was happy with the size. I picked up 4.

I took the view that £5 for a made and painted vehicle was cheap enough to make it usable......
