That video has been making the rounds on Veteran Facebook sites too. I could walk across the street to UNLV and most likely get the same results. To be fare though I have seen similar videos in the UK and in Germany. Lots of young folks just do not seem to care about history.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Yes, it is a bit surprising but it also relates to relevance.  Sure, it is important knowledge and they should know it but, heck, these are college kids whose priorities only barely wrap around getting educated - at least for many.  Think back to your college years, if you went, and ask yourself what you would have known then?  If that is a current video, many of those kids were born just before this century and that makes 18th and 19th century history, like, really, really, old, you know, so, man, don't hang me up with this stuff, man, 'k?  Hey, I got to run 'cause there's free beer on the quad.

True, I mean I love history. But it never helped me get with any girls I was interested in while in school.  lol
Or did it help me get a job, I have a dozen friends who are history majors. One works at a music store, and a few others are substitute teachers.
The rest had to get other degrees to make money.
Half of those kids will drop out before they graduate, and of the other half. Very few of them will actually go into the field their degrees focus was in.
