Cthulhu sculpt
« on: 06 February 2016, 02:51:11 PM »
I have just received very nice sculpt of this demon. Loving the pose! The photos are from the sculptor but my copy is very well cast. The minature is 5,5 cm high.

I plan to use him as a piece of terrain (idol/statue) for various fantasy projects. A friend of mine is using the same miniature as major demon in Frostgrave. He plans to field a warband lead by summoner called Abdul Alhazred so... ;)

If you are interested, you can purchase this model on polarisminor.info@gmail.com I was told the model is limited to 50 copies. Mine is no. 6/50 but I was probably one of the first customers for preorder.

great sculpt but such a tiny little guy. I would snap one up if it were much larger.

Oh yes .. the scale.. the problem is, at first it was just a fun sculpt .. I never meant to do it seriously, because you know THE GREAT CTHULHU .. it´s like reveal Gods face .. everybody imagine it in his own way .. so it was big deal for me to do such a miniature. So I can show you few of the starting stages of this :)

the plan was to do this little guy and use this as talisman .. and make few copies.

So it all started like this .. and you see how it ended  lol

Now those are vestigial wings! Well done sir.  :-* :-* :-*

The wings .. I didn´t want to strictly follow the cliché pattern .. bat wings, octopus head and fat body, I wanted to give it some kind of strange feeling .. few more eyes and funny wings which can be interpreted as fins. Some Gigerish elements on the back ..

In early stages it has even horns .. but my wife told me it´s too much .. and she was right :)

I've bought one, too.

I'm probably gonna do it as a bronze idol and weather it with some verdigris.

I imagine this more like an idol or a spawn rather than the big guy himself. I like this version much more than the typical image described above.

I'm planning to do one more cthulhu mini ... in dinamic pose. I'll call that "The Awekening" :)
