The Wizard Sheet
« on: February 13, 2016, 06:10:53 AM »
Something I am always compelled to do when starting a new wargame or RPG is design my own character sheets. These are designed to be printed double-sided and folded in half.

The above images are only 96dpi. There are 300dpi versions and sheets with my own wizard filled on my blog at Quindia Studios...

Nice, reminds me of roleplaying in the 1970s! ;)

Nice - very old school. Reminds me a bit of Heroquest!

Thanks, guys!

After some requests, I edited the sheet to include the Apprentice AND Captain (and you now have an extra soldier slot as well). The Home Base and Vault windows didn't need to be so large.

I shoulda spent another day messing around with the layout, but to be honest I wasn't planning on using a Captain and it really just slipped my mind. My original sheet was designed for my Wizard, Madcap Toddlekin. I was so pleased with the result, I made the blank sheets to share with the community after. It wasn't until my brother sent his warband that I thought about the Captain. He wasn't using an Apprentice so I just edited the sheet to replace the Apprentice with the Captain.

The hi-res verisions were added to the original blog post linked above. Now you have lots of options!

Frostgrave has a very oldschool feel with the red-shirt henchmen. It is one of the things about the gam that appealed to me!

Very nice.  Shared on our club forum (with attribution), as not everyone comes here.

Not sure if it's possible or not, but any chance of a sheet like this design but with excel compatibility?

The sheet was designed in CorelDraw. I'm not sure about compatability with Excel. It could be used as the base for a form-fillable PDF, though it would be a while before I have time to tackle that (if someone else is capable and so inclined, feel free, just please credit the original source).

I love the look of that sheet! I'm a big old-school RPG/HeroQuest fan and it hits all the right buttons. It just needs a couple more soldier slots for those of us with inns and kennels :P

Yep, there really wasn't any more space in this format without making the second sheet illegible. I plan to us the extra space in Home Base or Notes to record any additional Soldiers. The variant sheet does have an extra slot if you include a Captain...

Hmm.. Does the Captain take up a roster spot or is he in addition to the eight Soldiers?

The captain takes up a soldier spot. If only he were additional!  lol
