(Kickstarter) Global Defence Forces - 15mm Sci-Fi
« on: February 26, 2016, 05:29:42 PM »
Very pleased to announce to the launch of my latest kickstarter. (And no, it isn't ponies this time around!)

I've put together a rather large range of 60 individually posed figurines ranging from rifleman to specialists. The idea being that once your army is on the table top every squad will have a unique feel to it.

I'll post some graphics here, but if you could take the time to have a look and find out more about the project, even possibly joining in by following the link below I'd really appreciate it.

Here's the 30 individually posed riflemen.

And the specialists. So far only 6 of them created, but I'll get the rest done sooner rather than later, you'll see.

It might just be the chainsword or the winged emblem, but these have a high 40K imperial guard, (pardon me adaptus something or other) feel to them. Cool to see so many poses with 15mm miniatures! And chainsword aside I do really like them.

Looking pretty good. Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with a hundred little soldiers :)

Well the winged emblem goes all the way back to ancient times, it not just a 40k thing. However the chainsword no doubt gives off a certain adeptus something or other vibe. Mind you, will be updating the chainsword a little.

Thanks for the feed back.

Assemble armies and wage massive wars! That's what I'd do. But each to their own  :)

This looks to be a pretty interesting project.

Have to see how the Finances are going at the House of Fish...

Glad to see you reached funding already. Good sculpts worth being bought.

I'll do my best  8) - I am already backing the 'Empire in peril' KickStarter (KS) and fully plan to back the 'This is not a Test' KS one due to launch in six days. If I still have a bit left in the slush fund I'll throw in a few bob with this as I really like what you're offering.

Say, anyone in Australia interested in clubbing in for a larger pledge?

Hope to join the fun before the KS ends but we will have to see how expenses work out with family in town next week and $$$ minimal after bills.  Payday does come in two weeks so if expenses/bills are not excessive then I am in.

I do like these, and I am wavering, but I love the civilians. I've just been looking for some and these fit the bill nicely. Look forward to those in due course.

I went waaaaay outside my comfort zone and budget - I am in!  Probably deeper than I should be but we will see what the IRS/State wants in taxes and go from there.

 lol any one want to buy some Bob Olley Dwarf figures?

They look good.

You could do rough riders mounted on ponies.

Just added the civvies as a reward... Tempted enough to join in now?  ;)

I appreciate you joining in, but I wouldn't want anyone to go into debt over the figures! As for Bob Olley Dwarf figures? I know of a chap who just might...

Could. Dirry great big war bikes or steroid horses are far more likely tho.  ::)

The GDF Kickstarter is still on-going and to make it easier for others to join in there are new rewards available!

We've made the civilians a reward, scientists, engineer’s pen pushers and more. They'd make great objectives in rescue missions.

There are also now smaller sets of infantry. Spec Ops, Rifle Squad and Combat Patrol. For the general who likes small scale operations and surgical strikes.

Incredibly pleased to say that all of the figures for the Kickstarter are completed.

Rather exciting, as we're on track for getting the figures into a mould next month and with any luck cast as well. Fingers crossed.

Here they are, all the specialists;

Rear shot of the Comms Troopers;

And all of the figures in a group shot. Just to prove I was mad enough to actually make 60 different figs;

Also including freebies for people as well. Some extra troopers and weapons sprues for backers. Not to forget the 10% discount for the SLAP Miniatures webstore.

Join-in now!
