Quick update. Getting through the tactical squad at a good pace  (for me). Missile launcher and flamer, Fire Hawks sergeant, and the missing terminator with heavy flamer finished this week.

Awesome stuff, are you sticking with beakies or will you be using other armor marks?

I'll be sticking to beakies for my own forces. A friend of mine is going to be doing Red Scorpions in mk 4 using the new Horus Heresy plastics and another friend is working on Marines Errant in mk 7. Another yet is doing Lamenters in beakie.

Hopefully our forces will be coming together soon. The project will start out small and work up to bigger battles. We're hoping to do fleet battles using Battlefleet Gothic too but that's going to take a lot longer.

These are so gorgeous it makes me want to play 40K again! Fantastic work, it is such a joy to see properly painted marines (that's only an observation on my own standard of work ;)).

Keep up the great work.

Looks great.  I hope you are bringing some of this stuff to Cold Wars to play with.

Wonderful stuff.  The simple lines of the Mk6 works so damn well with the simple paint scheme of the Mantis fellas.  Really is such a nice subdued and simple/classy scheme...much better than the "crank it to 11" sculpts and paintjobs of the modern 40K era marines.

Thanks guys!

Elbows: I love the beakies and many of the old chapter schemes. It has been really fun redoing them with the new models. I haven't been this motivated to paint in a long time.

Pictors: Unfortunately I won't be out at Cold Wars this year.  I would love to run a game using Betrayal at Calth at a convention some time once I get more of both forces finished. I'm also still interested in running something with you for Horus Heresy. I wonder where things are going to end up with the Host closing down.

Nice work.
Some lovley crisp and clean painting going on here with great colour choices.
 :-* :-*

Envious, as I have a bunch of old skool marines that I would love to get around to but I just cannot fit them in....yet.

Nice remember the first time I read about the Astral claws and the Badab war back in the RT days seemed a very cool concept long before Chaos space Marines really took hold.
