20mm Post apocalyptic bikers
« on: 01 March 2016, 06:13:25 PM »

20mm modern or post apocalyptic true scale 200mm bikers by Apocalypse miniatures.

We have got some dollies made and will be sculpting up gangs to go with them shortly.

Punks, police and war boys seem to be popular any other ideas then give us a shout.

So when you say "True Scale 20mm" do you mean actual 20mm along the lines of Dark Future? I have some of your current stuff and it's massive, gangers are like 26mm. Do you have any comparison pics for the bikers like with dark future or even hotwheels/matchbox cars?

The first lot we had sculpted were 23mm foot to eye. I bollocked the sculptor as he reckoned they were to fit perfect with Dark Future stuff and they didn't, even though they do fit well with cars an Dark future Bikes of  that scale. Hence we stopped having more of the figures done, the bikes and trikes we have stuck with as they still fit with the DF vehicles and bikes. The GW bikes for DF were sculpted larger than the GW DF figs. No idea why they did that.

These are for 20mm - 1/72 scale figures. I will get some more pics the weekend take of them next to some figures. For the time being here is the larger scale bikes we do next to the latest ones.

Thanks for that. If your sculptor was basing the sizes on the old DF plastic bikes I can see what happened, they are huge even compared to the various metal bikes they did and definitely the pedestrian models.

Folks have the best of both worlds now Cait, once I get the latest stuff out the way I will start myself working on 20mm foot to eye gangs and stuff to go with them.

Forgot to mention, will be resin casting 3 vehicles up and we have a load of metal conversion pieces we need to price up.

In the pic are three vehicles we converted using some of the pieces - hope you like them.

Wow! Now thas good news.

I got both your PostApoc buidlings, which are great, as well as the bikes and some cops.

The latter were really huge, though I could sage some by sawing off the metal bases or shortening the legs.

Anyway, if you will now produce real 20mm scale-models of the same quality that would be great! We need especially more real heroes, like Max, Tankgirl, Snake Plissken etc.!

Well, here comes the shouting:

I could really imagine some nice powerarmoured guys, speak not-Brotherhood of Steel from Fallout, would work well, as there is no one currently producing anything like that.

And maybe also consider creatures of the wastelands or civilians?
