Limiting the new posts feed

I guess like many members I keep up to date with forum activity by checking for "new posts".

Is there anyway I can modify what is reported to exclude selected boards and/or sub-boards?

Unfortunately no, not that I'm aware of. Maybe in the next forum version.

Given my current eye problem this would be great - I'm limited to a few minutes at a time in dim light and brightness right down...

A quick look at http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/XML_feeds and a test shows the feeds look to be enabled - need to sort out a reader / feed layout / board numbers when I can use computers again unless someone could pick this up?

My thought is a feed (rss or atom) into Feedly for a couple of boards...
