My chum and I are playing Warhammer Siege, using the old 5th (?) edition Siege book and 8th edition rules.
We'll see how we get on.

We played game one - Messenger earlier this week.

The Dwarf version of events is here:

Nice write up. It does seem like the dwarves suffer with the small points games though!

I think the chief problem for the Dwarfs is that I pick the army list and roll the dice. :)

Though yes, the greater numbers the Goblins can bring make more difference at this level I think.

Sally out is a great scenario. I had the same thought when I played it, that it would be really tough going for the dwarfs, but 8th editions 2D6 charge and pursuit moves can make all the difference. On the other hand, my dwarfs rolled really badly when trying to destroy the objective.

It's fun to see the scenarios I've played out from a different perspective and both armies look great.

Yes, exactly what we found.
I think we're finding Dwarfs suffer at 500 points (because they can't get ranks etc.) Orcs suffer at 1K points (because the Dwarf units get tougher and they can't get weight of numbers).
Foolishly we're talking about trying to make the final scenarion 3K of defenders with 6K of Orc attackers...

Thanks, glad you're enjoying it. Hoping to get to Test the Defences this coming week.

Very nice.
This edition was the only siege I ever played, and I have fond memories of one of my undead characters blowing up with a Heart of Woe and taking out a massive unit of knights with him.
Those were the days....

Very nice colour scheme on the dwarfs and the gobs, by the way  8) 8) 8)

You finished it! Well done! Both armies and the castle look great.

I will have to get my act together and finish my own campaign.
