.....although with some GW bits  :D Some years back I was persuaded to put together a warband in 28mm for Inquisitor. Nothing ever came of it beyond buying the figures and they've sat unpainted until now. Apologies for the pic quality, I really need to learn to take better pics

Waiter, my soup is giggling.

Nice stuff! I love re-purposing other figure ranges for my 40K games it gives you the chance to have some really unique looking armies, units and warbands.

The humans are Dark Age minis, I'm pretty sure.

No, I was partially wrong, the big guy is from Sacred Blade Miniatures ;)

The Dark Age are, by the way, the old Dedlock, Bane (Leader?) and the female Warwind.

 8) Great stuff; shows what can be done with a keen eye and access to the miniature world outside of GW... :D

...The Dark Age are, by the way, the old Dedlock...

Actually, that one originally even was a 1999 miniature, but was repurposed for Dark Age... ;)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

That's true, but as far as I know she was never released as a "1999" mini, right?

They are very nice. We all have little seeds of projects liek this. It's good when they see the light of day.

You are right of course, but I still included her in my 1999 collection, as the style is unmistakably meant for the range...  :)

Thanks all. I love bringing figures together from different sources. I couldn't get enthused to paint these for a long time, but I'm happy with how they've come out now. As said, 3 figures are from Dark Age, the big fella is from Sacred Blade & the cyberpooch is from Mongoose's old 2000 AD range.

My eventual plans for 40k Skirmish include using majority non-GW figures (but certainly a few actual GW minis or parts thereof) and non GW rules, so I'm always interested in similar efforts.  :D

Excellent work.  A great group that definitely fits well within the 40k universe.

Cheers. The Dark Age range seemed the natural choice for most of the figures. I think Sacred Blade are no more which is a shame.
