40' Shipping Container Found!

I have been looking for a 40' container forever.
While Reaper bones does a great 20' container, most of the containers I see around the South are 40' ones.
Finally I found one by MDK for O scale RR.
Its prepainted with markings and is 2" wide by 10" long.


Shown here with a 20' container by Reaper which I think they match very well.



Genstar sounds like an Umbrella Corp affiliate to me.

Oh did I mention the doors open? 


I got a lot of 3 off ebay.
The silver one seems to be the more common model by MDK and seems to be a riveted smooth side one, kind of like a semi trailer. I got the 3 with S&H for $22 that makes them comparable to the reaper ones in price.

Now I have enough for a nice container yard. All I need to do now is to weather them a bit.

Nice find! I should try to source them here in europe.

I don't want to be a pedant but the levers on the doors of the Reaper container should go on the lower side. Like that you can open the container loaded on a truck while standing next to it.
But even on the Reaper site they got them upside down.
