Little Interwars
« on: 14 March 2016, 06:42:57 PM »
From Mark Copplestone's latest newsletter

"Future Plans

The plan is for me to make regular new releases for existing Copplestone ranges (initially 10mm and 15mm fantasy) and start work on a couple of new projects. One of these will be a 28mm fantasy range and the other will be a quirky 30mm toy soldier range called Little Interwars"

I like quirky, already thinking of a South American imaginations project :)

When I saw 'toy soldiers' I couldn't help thinking of the old Wills cigarette cards like 'Uniforms of the World' or 'Empire and Dominions', or whatever they were.

I admit to being curious and interested.  :)

I'm sure you must have masochistic tendencies to stick with Photobucket. I have none of this with Google/Picasa.  lol

Well they are indeed very toy-soldiery... I think the middle ones might be Czechs, the ones on the left Bulgarians maybe, and the right ones Yugoslavs... I wouldn't put money down on any of those guesses though.

Nevertheless they look the part and I'm sure they would work with the 'Advanced' Little Wars rules in the H.G. Wells book (the ones that don't involve shooting matchsticks from cannon).

Yep, curiosity piqued.  :)

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Very tempting  and Tintinish indeed.
Any idea when they will be released?

No date mentioned yet, I'm sure Nick and Mark will keep us informed.

They look just the part for "Shambattle" armies.  I would hope to see artillery, MGs and cavalry for the range as well.

I would expect vehicles too... otherwise what would be the point of them being 'Interwars'? The whole Interwar era was all about part-mechanised and part horse-drawn armies.
