I could't resist making another temple.
This one is more of a shrine, I imagine it atop a lonely wind swept cliff where our heros have sought refuge from their persuit, but who does this temple belong to...

I've also recieved my copy of the Alternative Armies Typhon rules.
Reading through them now, hope to get in my first test game somewhere next week.

I'm beginning to repeat myself, but I just love the look of your project: the new temple turned out very well indeed. Let us know how you get on with Typhon!

Some more Greek myth figures came up in my painting cue so I thought I'd share them with you

Some sea people raiders and their Cyclopskin artillary

And a Medusa with her giant pets and some victims

Also did some baby giant scorpions (still have to paint mom and dad)

I still have some more sea raider peltasts to do and then it's on to minotaurs and centaurs. Hopefully by the end of the week.

Cheers,
Stroezie.

I had some more spare time today so now I have some more painted miniatures
First mommy (or daddy?) giant scorpion

And then ,my new favourite evil minions, the minotaurs

Unarmored sword fighters

And bronze armoured hoplites

I really like the minotaur figures, lots of nice details yet still realy easy to paint.

Great painting in that scale, and the conversion of the manticore was inspired. :)

Hey all,
I just reposted all the pictures in this thread as I slowly repair the damage my divorce from photobucket caused.

In an effort to not make this a complete thread necromancy here's a pic of the last batch of figures I've done for this project so far

Some sea people peltasts ( the leaders trident came out a little bigger than I had hoped but it still looks OK on the table top)

I’ve been having some vague and nebulous ideas of using these figures for a Greek myth fantasy pocket/hero/warhammer quest mash up in which case more pictures will follow.

Cheers,
Stroezie.

They look great.
Did you get the Typhon rules?
How do you like them?

Yes, I'd be curious to know this as well. The new figures look great, by the way!

Hey guys,

this project is on a low burner for the moment, I did get the Typhon rules, I statted out two opposing forces and played one small learning skirmish. Initial impressions, I like it, its a solid little ruleset that manages to capture the feel of the period/myths. One thing I am planning on doing is houseruling
the additon of low level monsters as at the moment all the monsters exept shades(undead) are of the epic end of the world kind.
I'm also working a Labirynthcrawl version of Pocketquest using these minis and a Warhammer quest linke tileset.

Cheers,
Stroezie.

Please keep us posted! I assume things Hyborian are currently proving a distraction...  ;)
