Cheap Napoleonic 6mm MDF miniatures - a good (enough) quality?

Comparison, published on our club site. A small company, Commission Figurines, is producing laser cut 6mm MDF armies. Extremely cheap. Pics and comparisons with standard 6mm tin miniatures.

Interesting post, the little wooden guys look pretty good from a gaming distance. The neat basing goes a long way to completing the effect.

For close order linear eras of combat they would make for an interesting option.

I bought a bunch of these last year and they are really nice! I am doing them up in old school, toy soldier style, but they can be done in a more realist style as well.

I think these are unusual enough to make an interesting LAF painting club, see how different painters/styles work with the concept.
7yrs War/WSS is a logical era for this approach, but I think ECW/30yrs War would be a candidate too.  A single base tercio done like this would be spectacular.
